inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attended the 2026 ASEAN Trade Union Council (ASEAN TUC) General Assembly Gala Dinner held at the Gran Melia Hotel on Jalan Rasuna Said, Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Tuesday evening (2/10/2026).
The event was part of a series of high-level meetings of Southeast Asian labor confederations, bringing together worker delegates from various countries in the region.
In his remarks, INP Chief congratulated Andi Gani Nena Wea, President of the All-Indonesian Trade Union Confederation (KSPSI), on his re-election as President of the ASEAN TUC. Andi Gani received the full support of the ASEAN trade union confederation leadership and was elected by acclamation for a new term.
"Tonight, I would like to congratulate Andigani on his re-election as President of the ASEAN TUC. The ASEAN TUC is an ASEAN-wide labor organization with approximately 20 million members, making it a very large and influential organization. This is certainly an honor for all of us, especially Indonesia, as Mr. Andigani has been elected for the third time," said General Sigit.
The Chief of Police also expressed his appreciation to the President of the TUC Asia-Pacific for his continued support and considered the meeting an important opportunity to strengthen ties among labor representatives in ASEAN.
"We also express our gratitude and appreciation to the President of the TUC Asia-Pacific for his continued support and presence. Tonight was a warm evening as we were able to meet and interact directly with labor delegates from ASEAN countries," he said.
Furthermore, the Chief of Police expressed his appreciation for the award given to the INP's Manpower Desk. He stated that this appreciation motivates INP to continue providing assistance on various industrial relations issues.
The INP Chief emphasized that all parties share a commitment to maintaining harmonious industrial relations between workers and companies. He believes that conducive business relations will have a direct impact on economic growth and improved worker welfare.
