inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Health announced the addition of additional examinations to the Free Health Check (CKG) program, specifically for scabies, leprosy, and yaws.

Lucia Rizka Andalusia, Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices at the Ministry of Health, stated that the additions were based on disease patterns found in the community.

"There are several additional examinations conducted based on existing disease patterns and their findings. Therefore, we have added examinations for scabies, leprosy, and yaws," said Director General Lucia on Tuesday (2/10/2025).

This addition complements the CKG examinations that previously included blood pressure, blood sugar, kidney function, cholesterol, EKG (heart), eye, ear, and dental examinations, and mental health screenings. She encouraged the public to utilize the CKG program regularly every year.

"We ask that the public not only undergo the CKG once, but also repeat it annually. The CKG is available where people live, not only at community health centers, but also at workplaces, schools, and organizational gathering places. It's easier and free," she said.

Through the CKG program, the public can detect diseases early and will be immediately directed to further treatment.

"For example, if high blood pressure is detected, they will be directed to a polyclinic for consultation and given medication if necessary. That's the procedure," explained Lucia.

On the same day, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno reviewed the implementation of the CKG program at the Cilandak Community Health Center during the program's first year. By 2025, the CKG program is expected to benefit more than 70 million people across Indonesia.

The Free Health Check Program, launched on February 10, 2025, is one of the Best Quick Results Programs of the Prabowo Subianto administration. This program aims to shift the approach to healthcare from curative to preventive in order to improve overall public health.
