Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo officially closed the 2026 E-Sports (INP Chief) Kapolri Cup at the Indonesia Arena in Jakarta on Sunday (9/8/2026).
"I see the development of e-sports as extraordinary, growing from a simple game into an international sport with massive participation," he said
During the closing ceremony, the Indonesian Museum of Records (MURI) presented three world record awards to the police, including one for appointing 27,686 Gen Z cyber security ambassadors. The tournament attracted 35,936 participants across 34 regional police headquarters and 403 resort police offices.
Chief Sigit urged young participants to serve as cyber security ambassadors by combating online gambling, hoaxes, digital fraud, and youth violence. He encouraged the public to actively report cyber threats and security disruptions using the 110 police hotline and official cyber patrol channels.
