Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the Chief of The Indonesian National Police (INP), delivered a speech during the Dharma Santi event held at the PTIK Building in South Jakarta on Wednesday (17/5/23). In his address, he highlighted the abundance of teachings within the Hindu religion that can serve as sources of inspiration. He further expressed his aspiration for the INP to lead by example in promoting these values nationwide.

"I encourage our Hindu friends to participate in the recitation competition based on this sloka," he said, referring to a traditional poem used in Hindu practices.

He extended his greetings and wished a Happy Nyepi Day and Shaka New Year 2023 to all Hindu devotees. He expressed his hope that the reflections and contemplations undertaken during this period would lay the groundwork for personal growth and improvement, guided by these noble values.

"These values are ones that I hope our dedicated colleagues will integrate into the fulfillment of our duties, alongside the principles taught by our religions and the values of interaction with our fellow human beings in the execution of our professions," he said.

The Nyepi Day commemoration, organized by the INP, was graced by the presence of Hindu religious leaders and attended by all Hindu personnel. This event aligns with one of the eight commitments of Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, which is the unwavering loyalty to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and the nurturing of its diversity.
