Police invites all elements of the society to hand-in-hand to be wise in facing political difference during 2024 General Elections, to realize a safe, secure, and peaceful elections. “We all know that now we have entered election period where we will decide who will be the next president, legislators, and regional heads,” says Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on Saturday (11/11/2023). He hopes that the declaration of 2024 Peaceful Election that have been conveyed by political parties, religious figures, and influencers, could sparked a healthy spirit to success the election. Sigit also stressed that the difference in preference in politics is normal and should not divide the state instead. “Even in a family, we have our differences. Everything has to be secured, this is a democracy festive, a difference does not makes us enemy, but this is what makes us diverse in democracy,” he adds. The Four-Star General also implored for the declaration of 2024 Peaceful Elections should be voiced continuously throughout Indonesia during elections. “So let us maintain, secure, and be neutral as this is an important aspect to succeed an election that is safe, secure, and full of quality,” says INP Chief to his members.
