The General Elections Commission (KPU) has officially announced the the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pairs for 2024 elections on Monday (11/13/23) at the KPU Media Center. The process involves an initial closed internal plenary meeting, where the decision on the presidential and vice-presidential candidates will be deliberated upon. KPU Commissioner August Mellaz stated that this closed plenary meeting is a legal requirement to determine the candidate pairs eligible to participate in the election. The three contenders competing for the positions of president and vice president comprises Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, and Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
