inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo urged workers to strengthen unity and solidarity with the government in facing various global challenges that could impact the national situation.
General Sigit made the call while attending a fast-breaking event with members of the Confederation of All Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPSI) in West Java on Friday (3/6/2026).
In his remarks, Sigit emphasized that the current dynamics and escalation of the global situation have the potential to directly impact the domestic economic and social conditions.
Therefore, he argued, synergy between the government and workers is crucial for Indonesia's ability to face the various challenges that arise.
"Escalation occurring abroad will certainly impact the domestic situation. Therefore, we must remain united and work together to face the current situation," said Sigit, who is also a member of the KSPSI Advisory Board.
Sigit also touched on various strategic government programs aimed at strengthening the national economy, including the policy of downstreaming natural resources.
These programs are considered to be able to create more jobs for the community, including workers.
"With more optimal management of natural resources domestically, Indonesia has the opportunity to increase economic added value while expanding job opportunities," he said.
Furthermore, Sigit emphasized the importance of improving the quality of human resources (HR) to enable them to compete globally.
He added that INP is also opening up opportunities for collaboration to improve workforce competency through the education and training facilities provided by the police institution.
These training programs are expected to serve as a means of knowledge transfer for the Indonesian workforce, especially in facing investment from domestic and foreign companies.
