Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has called on homebound travelers to utilize the 110 emergency hotline for immediate security assistance during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday.
INP Head of Public Relations Division Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir confirmed on Wednesday (11/3/2026) that the service is free of charge and designed to provide rapid police response for citizens facing difficulties on the road.
"We consistently pray for everyone's safety, but should you require assistance, please dial 110; it is a free service, and the police will respond promptly," he said during a press briefing at the INP Headquarters in Jakarta, as reported by antaranews.com.
Chief Johnny said that the hotline is a primary communication tool for ensuring public safety during the peak travel season.
To support the "Operation Ketupat 2026" security mission, the INP will deploy 185,544 personnel to secure various public locations, including mosques, transit hubs, and tourist attractions.
Authorities have also established 2,756 integrated service and security posts nationwide to manage the surge of travelers. Furthermore, the police are offering free vehicle storage services at local police stations for citizens leaving their cars or motorcycles behind during the holiday.
Traffic management strategies, including situational engineering, will be implemented to prevent congestion at critical migration points such as ports and airports.
