Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo announced that President Prabowo Subianto has issued a direct mandate to exhaustively investigate the alleged acid attack against KontraS activist Andrie Yunus, emphasizing a professional and transparent legal process.

“I have received direct orders from the President to conduct a thorough investigation using scientific crime investigation methods to ensure every stage is objective and evidence-based,” he said while inspecting Surabaya’s Gubeng Station on Sunday (15/3/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The INP are currently gathering information and analyzing evidence through advanced forensic techniques to identify the perpetrators. To accelerate the investigation, Chief Sigit has established a dedicated public complaint center, encouraging anyone with relevant information to come forward. 

He guaranteed full legal protection for witnesses and whistleblowers who assist the authorities in solving this high-profile case. Progress updates will be provided periodically through the INP Relations Division and the complaint center to maintain public accountability as the investigation moves forward.
