INP Chief Pushed for Food Self-Security in Bantul

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. In strengthening national food security, the Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attends the corn planting in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta.

This activity is part of the national corn planting program, covering one million hectares which aims to reduce dependence on imports.

In his remarks, General Sigit emphasized the importance of collaboration between the community, government, and various related parties to achieve corn self-sufficiency.

He also expressed his appreciation for the cooperation that has been established between farmers and related parties, including the use of land in various areas of Yogyakarta for this program.

On the other hand, General Sigit also appreciated his police ranks in helping farmers and ensuring that Bulog's absorption of harvest results runs optimally.

"We hope that all our hard work can result in a satisfying harvest. We are targeting that by 2025 there will be no more corn imports," added the Chief of Police.

This activity received a positive response from farmers and stakeholders in the region.

It is hoped that with this program, Indonesia can realize corn self-sufficiency and reduce dependence on imports in the next few years.
