inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo presented the results of INP's corn harvest in the first and second quarters.
He stated that all achievements reflect a strong commitment to achieving national food self-sufficiency.
"In 2025, we successfully planted corn on 661,112 hectares of land, yielding 3.9 million tons," Sigit stated while delivering his report to President Prabowo Subianto at the simultaneous second-quarter corn harvest in Tuban Regency, East Java, on Saturday (5/16/2026).
According to Sigit, these results will contribute to a 6.74 percent increase in national corn production in 2025, or 1.8 million tons.
Sigit continued, explaining that to achieve the next target, there is potential for 1.37 million hectares of land throughout Indonesia by 2026.
"Meanwhile, on January 8, 2026, we held the first quarter harvest on 91,000 hectares of land, with a yield of 884,129 tons," said Sigit.
Furthermore, today, under the leadership of the President, Sigit announced that a simultaneous corn harvest will be held
in the second quarter on 189,760 hectares of land, with a potential yield of 1.23 million tons.
"A total of 100 tons of corn from the harvest will be exported to Malaysia via the Jagoi Babang border, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan. The cooperative purchases from farmers at IDR 6,500/kg and sells to Malaysia at IDR 7,000/kg. Thus, a profit margin of IDR 500/kg is achieved," Sigit explained.
