Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo highlighted the critical role of labor unions in maintaining public order and national unity during a joint break-fasting event with the Confederation of All Indonesian Trade Unions (KSBSI) in South Jakarta on Sunday (1/3/2026).

said that stability is the primary catalyst for economic growth, urging unions to work collaboratively with authorities to foster a conducive investment climate amid volatile global conditions.

"We must maintain stability because growth is only possible if security is preserved; that is the main capital," Chief Sigit said, as cited by antaranews.com.

While assuring the INP's commitment to supporting labor rights, he reminded union leaders to act constructively and avoid actions that threaten national cohesion.
