inp.polri.go.id - Badung - The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief expressed his pride in Indonesia's re-entrustment to host the International Association of Women Police (IAWP) Annual Training Conference. This year marks the second time Indonesia has hosted the international conference, having previously held it in Labuan Bajo in 2021.
The INP Chief expressed this statement while opening the 63rd International Association of Women Police (IAWP) Annual Training Conference 2026 in Bali on Sunday (9/20/2026).
"It is such an honor for Indonesia to once again be entrusted with hosting the IAWP Conference for the second time, following Labuan Bajo in 2021," said the INP Chief.
Chief Sigit welcomed the delegates from various countries to Bali. He hoped that Bali's hospitality would provide a positive experience and strengthen relations between police institutions.
According to him, the participants attended not only as representatives from various countries, but also in a spirit of friendship and togetherness to support each other and provide the best service to the community.
The meeting also provided a platform for policewomen from various countries to exchange experiences, learn from each other, share best practices, expand networks, and build lasting friendships and cooperation.
This international forum is considered increasingly relevant amidst the ever-changing challenges of law enforcement. Through a stronger network, the experiences and knowledge possessed by each country can be shared to support the implementation of police duties.
Sigit also encouraged all participants to use differences in nationalities, experiences, and backgrounds as strengths to bring about meaningful change.
"Together, we empower women. Together, we strengthen policing. Together, we uphold peace. And together, we lead global change," calls Chief Sigit.
He hopes that the 2026 IAWP conference will not only strengthen relationships between personnel but also foster closer cooperation among police institutions from various countries.
