Police Superintendent Iip Syarif Hidayat, the Chief of Waropen Sub-Regional Police, conducted an educational session on stunting prevention and the provision of balanced nutrition for the students of Obutai Inpres Elementary School in the Masirei District on Saturday (21/10/23). He delivered a comprehensive presentation covering the understanding, impact, prevention, and control of stunting in straightforward terms, addressing teachers, students, and parents of the students. "We are also supplying nourishing food such as mung bean porridge, eggs, and milk to the students of Obutai Inpres Elementary School. This is aimed at preventing stunting, particularly in the Masirei District," elucidated the police chief. Furthermore, he highlighted that this awareness campaign aligns with the Government Program and the Indonesian National Police (INP) Change Project in National Leadership Education (PKN) Level II, focused on "Strategies for Combating Stunting and Maintaining Pubic Orders Through Collaboration and Digitalization in Waropen Regency." "We, along with the Waropen Sub-Regional Police force, are committed to playing an active role in preventing and overcoming stunting. In addition to this effort, our Bhabinkamtibmas (the Bhayangkara community security and order advisor) have also conducted community outreach to educate parents on preventing stunting within their respective areas of responsibility," he explained.
