Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta administration has reported that a total of 1.1 million cars and 123,000 motorcycles have undergone emission testing as part of an initiative to enhance air quality in the capital.
Ani Ruspitawati, spokesperson for the Jakarta Air Pollution Control Task Force, said on Friday (20/10/23) that public access to emissions testing is a key measure in reducing air pollution.
She explained that a network of 340 workshops, employing a collective workforce of 946 technicians, administered the emission tests, while motorcycle emission evaluations were facilitated by 114 workshops involving 195 technicians across Jakarta.
"We continue to encourage the public to conduct emission tests for each of their private vehicles," she said.
Since August 22, the Jakarta Environmental Agency in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry has initiated comprehensive training programs for emission testing technicians in Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi.
