Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has commenced the construction of 10 Nutritional Service Units (SPPG) kitchens across the underdeveloped, outermost, and frontier (3T) regions of Nabire, Central Papua to support the government’s Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, aimed at addressing stunting and improving public health in isolated communities.

“Today, the Nabire Sub-regional Police laid the first stone for the SPPG unit in Napan District, a remote island area separated from the city center,” said Marsel Asyerem, the Regional Coordinator of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), on Wednesday (25/2/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The INP’s involvement covers 10 of the 49 planned 3T kitchen units required for the region. Unlike urban "agglomeration" kitchens that serve up to 2,500 portions, these specialized 3T units are designed to serve 1,000 portions, ensuring even villages with fewer than 10 beneficiaries receive aid.

Marsel emphasized that the project will prioritize the involvement of Indigenous Papuans to stimulate the local economy while securing the nutritional needs of students, pregnant women, and toddlers.
