Inp.polri.go.id - South Tangerang. The Indonesian National Police (Polri) deployed 497 disaster-response personnel on Monday to Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra as part of an accelerated humanitarian operation following widespread natural disasters across the three provinces.
“Every officer must fully understand their duties and responsibilities,” INP Deputy Chief Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo said at the Water and Air Police Corps Base on Monday (1/12/2025), as cited by antaranews.com.
The INP dispatched the first wave of 200 personnel at 2 pm through Soekarno–Hatta Airport, sending teams from Mobile Brigade (Brimob), K-9, DVI, trauma healing, Inafis, and Public Relations to North Sumatra and West Sumatra. Additional deployments to Aceh are being prepared.
Senior Superintendent Monang for North Sumatra, Superintendent Hendrick Situmorang for West Sumatra, and Senior Superintendent Aditya have been assigned as field commanders of the strategic reserve. The INP’s Security Maintenance Agency supervisors were also positioned across the three regions.
