Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo has issued a formal call to strengthen the intellectual capacity of the police force.
Following the official registration of Intellectual Property Rights for 39 of his authored books, he said that modern law enforcement must transition away from traditional reliance on physical authority toward a strategy rooted in academic research and documented field experience.
"Modern police must not only rely on muscle and authority but must be based on science. Writing for me is a way of sharing while immortalizing field experiences so they can be formulated into beneficial theory and knowledge," Chief Dedi said, as cited by antaranews.com on Tuesday (17/3/2026)
By documenting strategic thoughts on counter-terrorism, public policy, and media management, he said that he aims to provide a scholarly roadmap for future generations of officers.
