Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)have dismissed two officers after an ethics tribunal found them responsible for a fatal assault on two debt collectors in Kalibata, South Jakarta, an incident that occurred on 11 December 2025.

INP Public Relations Division Head of Public Information Unit Senior Commissioner Erdi A. Chaniago said on Wednesday (17/12/2205) the Ethics Commission imposed dishonorable discharge on Brigadier IAM and Second Brigadier AMZ.

“The administrative sanction is dismissal without honor as members of the Indonesian National Police,” he said, as cited by antaranews.com.

The tribunal ruled that their actions constituted disgraceful conduct and a serious violation of the police code of ethics. Investigators found that officer AMZ was the motorcycle owner stopped by debt collectors, while officer IAM mobilized others after receiving information via a WhatsApp group.

Both officers were charged under regulations governing police dismissal and professional ethics. Despite the ruling, the two officers have filed appeals.

The Kalibata assault resulted in the deaths of two debt collectors, identified as NAT and MET, and remains under criminal investigation.
