Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. West Java Regional Police have named YouTuber Adimas Firdaus, widely known as Resbob, a suspect for alleged hate speech targeting the Sundanese community, following an investigation that gathered sufficient evidence, authorities said in Bandung on Wednesday (17/12/2025).

“The suspect deliberately delivered hate speech during live streams to attract donations from viewers,” said West Java Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan, confirming the decision after investigators examined witnesses, experts, and digital evidence.

Investigators found that the suspect knowingly created provocative content to increase virality, audience numbers, and financial gain through online tipping, as reported by antaranews.com. 

After Resbob was detained and questioned at West Java Police Headquarters, investigators conducted a case review that led to his formal designation as a suspect.Police are also probing the possible involvement of other parties, including individuals suspected of reposting or amplifying the hate speech content online.

Resbob is charged under Law No. 1 of 2024 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE), carrying a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
