INP Drives the National Economic Forward by Maintaining Security

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that his party had conducted 270 operations to maintain public order and security throughout 2025.

According to General Sigit, creating and maintaining security and stability can have a multiplier effect on Indonesia as it can boost the economy and national development.

"National and international agendas have a multiplier effect that can enhance international tasks and impact the economy and national development. Therefore, we must ensure that all activities run smoothly, safely, and conducively. The success of these activities will certainly have various impacts, including receiving various appreciation from both within and outside the country," explained General Sigit during a working meeting with Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) on Monday (1/26/2026).

The INP Chief revealed that they had conducted 270 security operations during 2025. Starting from security related to political activities to visits by foreign state guests.

"There were 270 police operations, both centralized and regional, at several national events, ranging from political activities, holiday security, and international sports conferences, including nine state visits from February to December 2025," said the INP Chief.

General Sigit added that there was increased economic growth following the security measures implemented for certain events. He stated that their effort in maintaining security has generated at least hundreds of trillions of rupiah in economic growth.

"This can be seen from the snapshot, or our implementation of security for the international MotoGP event, which successfully generated economic growth in the region of IDR 4.8 trillion, the 2025 Jakarta E-prix IDR 2 trillion, and the Idul Fitri security event, which resulted in IDR 160.3 trillion in money flowing from the central government to the regions. According to the Indikator survey, 80.9% of the public expressed satisfaction," said Chief Sigit.
