inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Public Relations Division has provided the latest developments regarding the law enforcement process in the child abuse case that occurred in Tual, Maluku. 

This was conveyed directly by the Head of INP Public Relations Division, Johnny Eddizon Isir, during a doorstop held at INP Public Relations Division on Wednesday (2/25/2026).

In his statement, Johnny stated that INP is committed to carrying out law enforcement processes, both in accordance with the code of ethics and criminal investigations, quickly, accurately, professionally, and accountably against the individual identified as MS.

"We, as INP Public Relations Division, are providing the latest information regarding the law enforcement process, both in accordance with the code of ethics and the investigation process, regarding the child abuse case that occurred in Tual. This is our commitment in transparency and accountability to the public," said Johnny.

He also expressed his appreciation to media partners and the public for their continued objective monitoring of this process, while also conveying his deepest condolences for the incident that befell the victim, A.T.

"We express our deepest condolences for the incident that befell the beloved A.T., and express our empathy to beloved N.K., the victim's older brother, his parents, and extended family. This incident is a serious concern for the Chief of Police," he said.

Johnny stated that the Maluku Regional Police have taken various humanitarian measures, including providing support to the victim's family and ensuring optimal medical care for N.K.

Regarding the ethics process, Johnny emphasized that MS has been given a strict sanction in the form of a dishonorable discharge (PTDH).
