Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) officially extend the operation of Damai Cartenz Task Force in order to impose security and law in Papua. Head Bureau of Public Information of INP Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Erdi A. Chaniago says that the extension will be for another year, “from January 1st, to December 31st, 2024,” he said on Wednesday (1/10/2024). Erdi claims that the operation Damai Cartenz would continue their persuasive and humanist approach. “The Damai Cartenz Task Force put forward the initiative of educating the community, detection, and public relations which supported by law enforcement task force,” continues Erdi. In addition, Erdi also reveals the task force will put their focus to nine areas which spreads across Central Papua Province and Papua Mountains Province. “Our priority lays in Bintang Mountains Regency, Yahukimo, Mimika, Intan Jaya, Dogiyai, Puncak, Nduga, Jaya Wijaya and Jayapura,” closed Erdi.
