inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agency has revealed the number of suspects in the adulterated rice case. So far, a total of 30 cases have been handled by police investigators.
"In the rice case, so far we have recorded up to 30 cases with 36 suspects," explained the Director of Special Economic Crimes of INP, Brigadier General Helfi Assegaf, after a press conference on Thursday (9/25/2025).
According to Helfi, two suspects have been handed over to the Prosecutor's Office as the public prosecutor (JPU). The two suspects are being handled by investigators from the West Java Regional Police and the Riau Regional Police.
He noted that all the premium rice distributors that got involved in the case have been questioned. On the other hand, several identified suspects have not been detained while police are still continuing their investigation.
