inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Investigators from the Indonesian National Police (INP) are assisting several regional police departments in handling the alleged poisoning of several students after consuming the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG).

"No, the MBG poisoning cases are being handled by each regional police department. In this case, we are assisting the handling process so that we can obtain facts regarding food safety itself," explained the Director of Special Economic Crimes of INP, Brigadier General Helfi Assegaf, after a press conference on Thursday (9/25/2025).

Helfi revealed that in handling this case, an inspection of the food safety process will be carried out from the start of cooking until it is finally served. The inspection will also be carried out from upstream to downstream. 

"Later, the results of the inspection and assistance will of course result in providing recommendations to the government, especially to the organizers of the MBG itself," said Helfi.

It is known that one of the prominent poisoning cases occurred in West Java. The West Java Regional Police have also stepped in to assist in the evacuation process of students to the hospital.
