“Mutations and rotations are natural in the INP organization. This is part of career development, organizational refreshment, and efforts to increase professionalism,” said Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, the Head of the INP Public Relations Division, in a statement on Saturday (9/5/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
He emphasized that the changes, based on a telegram dated 7 May 2026, aim to help the force adapt to dynamic challenges while maintaining public service standards.
The strategic appointments include Commissioner General Panca Putra as the new Head of Education and Training. Among the nine new regional police chiefs are Inspector General Pipit Rismanto for West Java and Inspector General Djati Wiyoto Abadhy for West Sumatra. The reshuffle also promoted Brigadier General Sagung Dian Kartini to a key planning role, marking a significant advancement for female officers.
