inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) through the Precision Command Post held a Joint Learning Forum with the theme "Crisis Communication" on Thursday (10/2/2025).
This forum was led by Inspector General Kristiyono with the INP Chief's Expert Staff for Communication, Johan Budi Sapto Pribowo as the guest.
In the forum, Johan Budi noted to Kristiyono that public criticism should be seen as a challenge, not an attack. In his statement, a communicative response based on real actions and concrete solutions is needed, not just clarification.
"Criticism from the public is a form of concern that must be answered with real steps. Don't be defensive, but rather use criticism as a trigger for institutional improvement," said Johan Budi, Thursday (10/2/2025).
Furthermore, this forum also emphasized several important points, including: strengthening positive content on social media and mainstream media; the behavior of police officers in the field must be fair, humane, data-based, and in accordance with procedures to maintain the legitimacy of INP; and real changes in the field, especially in public services, as a concrete manifestation of INP reform.
Inspector General Kristiyono emphasized that improving crisis communication capacity is part of police efforts in transforming to be a better institution.
"We are committed to maintaining public trust through transparent, measurable, and solution-oriented communication. Reform must be directly felt by the public through our professional services," Kristiyono emphasized.
