The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo says that trade wars that are currently raging on the international stage have impacted the Indonesian economy. The government, in responding to the case, must respond immediately to maintain Indonesia’s position in the global stage amidst the crisis.

“Several things that are related to our activities in the Memorandum of Understanding will help us handle various issues such as the increasing number of foreign workers and tourists,” says the INP Chief on Monday (8/4/2025).

Several points that are contained in the memorandum between INP and Immigrations and Corrections Ministry include:

Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections and INP on synergy of duties and functions in the areas of Police, Immigration, and Corrections.

Cooperation Agreement between the Directorate General of Immigration and INP on Basic Intelligence/Investigative Education and Training for Immigration Officials/Employees at the Directorate General of Immigration, Ministry of Immigration and Corrections of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2025 fiscal year.

Cooperation Agreement between the Directorate General of Corrections and INP on synergy in supporting the implementation of duties and functions in the areas of data and/or information on detainees, children, and inmates, and the management of non-organic firearms belonging to INP/TNI, as well as security equipment classified as firearms.
