inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Minister of Immigration and Corrections Agus Andrianto signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen synergy in law enforcement. This MoU is an extension of the previous memorandum of understanding, with additional points added.

"Today, we improved our memorandum of understanding, which originally had six points, but now has seven points. We have also made various changes that are highly relevant to current conditions," said General Sigit at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections on Monday (8/4/2025).

General Sigit explained that this memorandum of understanding is necessary primarily to improve speed, facility utilization, human resource development, and streamline fieldwork. This MoU will improve efficiency, simplify operations, and optimize the performance of our respective fields.

"Several things related to the various activities we undertake, related to the existing MOU, will certainly also support us in facing various issues, such as the increasing number of foreign workers and the increasing number of foreign tourists," explained
General Sigit.

Amidst the current global situation, INP Chief said, vigilance must always be maintained regarding the increasing number of foreign workers and tourists. Because, the threat of spies who may be encouraged by a country to enter Indonesia to learn, study, and carry out activities that could impact domestic security stability is always present.

The INP Chief further stated that every country has an interest in maintaining security within its territory. This act can also be seen by other countries as a threat as it weakens them.

"That is certainly a principle in how a country must survive, and we must be vigilant about this," said INP Chief.
