Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) launched initial mitigation measures across multiple regions on Monday, (7/9/2026) to address widespread volcanic ashfall from Mount Anak Krakatau's eruption.
Field operations deployed Armored Water Cannon (AWC) vehicles to clear ash deposits from major roadways, distributed free face masks to commuters, and established emergency medical services at transportation hubs.
"The INP’s early mitigation efforts focus on road clearing, mask distribution, and immediate medical care for affected communities," Head of the INP Public Relations Division Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir said.
He urged the public to remain calm, follow official updates, and wear protective face masks during outdoor transit. He also reminded residents that police aid and emergency reporting are accessible via the Polri Super App and the 110 Call Center.
