inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Manpower Desk successfully mediated a labor dispute between the management of PT Kerta Gaya Pusaka and 131 workers.

The issue stemmed from the termination of employment (PHK) experienced by the workers in 2021. To date, the workers have not received their severance compensation or the back wages they are entitled to.

Through facilitation and mediation held on Wednesday (6/3/2026), attended by the Head of INP Manpower Desk, Brigadier General Mohammad Irhamni; Advisor to the Chief of Police for Manpower, Andi Gani Nena Wea; worker representatives; and the management of PT Kerta Gaya Pusaka; the parties finally reached an agreement.

As a result of the mediation, PT Kerta Gaya Pusaka's management expressed its willingness to pay severance compensation and back wages to the 131 workers, totaling IDR 10 billion.

Irhamni stated that the successful resolution of this case demonstrates the state's commitment to protecting workers while maintaining harmonious industrial relations.

"We are here to ensure that every labor issue is resolved fairly, professionally, and through dialogue. The resolution of the PT Kerta Gaya Pusaka case demonstrates that a collaborative approach and restorative justice can provide legal certainty while fulfilling workers' rights that have been delayed," said Irhamni to reporters in Jakarta.

He emphasized that the police will continue to support the creation of a conducive labor climate through mediation, legal protection, and supervision of the implementation of the rights and obligations of the parties in industrial relations.
