inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR), Ahmad Sahroni, responded to the results of the Kompas Research and Development Survey, which showed an increase in public trust and satisfaction with the performance of the Indonesian National Police (INP).
He stated that this achievement indicates that the various efforts undertaken by the Polri have had a positive impact and are being directly felt by the public.
Sahroni believes that the increase in public trust is inseparable from the hard work of all police ranks under the leadership of INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo in improving the quality of service, maintaining security, and strengthening relationships with the community.
"The high level of public trust demonstrates that police hard work is truly felt by the public. This is the fruit of INP's hard work under General Sigit's leadership," Sahroni told reporters on Friday (6/26/2026).
However, he cautioned that these positive results should not lead to complacency in the police institution. He hoped that the achievements would instead serve as a driving force to continue making improvements and enhancing the quality of service to the public.
"Going forward, don't let your guard down and maintain this excellent performance. Going forward, we must do even better. This achievement should motivate us to continuously improve the quality of service, professionalism, and closeness to the community," he said.
Sahroni also highlighted a number of remaining tasks that INP must address, including handling street crime, eradicating thuggery, drug trafficking, and digital-based crime. He believes these challenges must be consistently addressed to maintain public trust.
He is optimistic that public trust will continue to grow if the police consistently fulfills its role as protector, guardian, and servant of the public.
