Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo SIgit Prabowo and Minister of Protection for Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI) Abdul Kadir Karding agreed on Thursday (9/1/2025)  to bolster collaboration in protecting Indonesian migrant workers .

Chief Sigit  pledged full support for P2MI’s programs, including the establishment of a special desk to handle cases involving unprocedural migrant workers and human trafficking.

"This desk will process reports, complaints, and evaluate joint steps," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Minister Karding emphasized persistent issues such as exploitation and unfair treatment of migrant workers, often linked to syndicates and brokers. He expressed gratitude for the INPi’s commitment to tackling these problems.

The collaboration will also focus on preventive measures, ensuring fair treatment for migrant workers and combating modern slavery practices abroad.

“Our joint efforts aim to protect and uphold the rights of Indonesians working overseas,” Chief Sigit added.
