inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. Achievement becomes the main factor in the 2026 Police Academy Cadet Admission Selection. Through an Olympic-standard Computer Assisted Test (CAT) system, scores displayed directly to participants, and supervision from various independent institutions, the Indonesian National Police (INP) has determined 350 prospective male and female cadets who are eligible to participate in education at the Police Academy.
The Graduation Determination Session, held by INP Human Resources Staff (SSDM) at the Cendekia Auditorium of the Police Academy in Semarang on Monday (7/27/2026), confirmed that 320 prospective male and 30 female cadets had passed out of a total of 404 participants who took the central-level selection.
The selection process was conducted based on the principles of Clean, Transparent, Accountable, and Humane (BETAH). To ensure objectivity, INP involved external oversight from the Indonesian Ombudsman, the Setara Institute, the Centra Initiative, Amnesty International Indonesia, and the Commission for the Acceleration of Police Reform (KPRP).
The Assistant Chief of Police for Human Resources, Inspector General Anwar, stated that this year's selection marked a milestone in strengthening the quality of police recruitment through a more modern, merit-based system.
"The acceptance of male and female cadets into the Police Academy this year shows a significant improvement in the quality of participants. We continue to promote an objective, transparent selection system capable of selecting the best prospective National Police officers," said Anwar.
Unlike previous years, the 2026 Police Academy selection process introduced innovation through the CAT with Olympiad-standard Academic Potential Test material, which more comprehensively measures critical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving.
The selection results demonstrated an increasingly competitive quality of participants. Four participants achieved the highest score of 80 on the Academic Potential Test, while four others achieved the highest score of 82 on the English Language Test.
The assessment was conducted proportionally, with 30 percent Academic Potential Test, 30 percent English Language Test, 30 percent Physical Fitness Test, and 10 percent Appearance Test.
In addition to a more modern system, transparency was also a key priority. Exam scores were displayed directly on each participant's computer after completion. Furthermore, all participants' results were printed in a single document and signed by all participants for public access.
The commitment to developing superior human resources for the Indonesian National Police (INP), Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo, also emphasized the commitment to developing superior human resources for INP, while providing guidance to prospective cadets at the Police Academy Multipurpose Building in Semarang.
"The future of INP depends heavily on how well we prepare the next generation. Our task is not only to produce human resources who excel intellectually and professionally, but also to shape our force with strong character, integrity, high social awareness, adaptability to developments in science and technology, and the courage to lead change to address increasingly complex security challenges. Education is the primary foundation for producing future Polri leaders who are precise, humane, and trusted by the public," said Dedi.
Through a selection system that is more modern, transparent, and merit-based, INP hopes that prospective male and female cadets who have passed will be able to undergo their education with full dedication and grow into professional leaders with integrity, adaptive to technological developments, and present as protectors, guardians, and public servants who are trusted by the public.
