inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto and the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) have agreed to further their collaboration in maintaining public security and order, particularly through youth development. This collaboration will be formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and a cooperation agreement (PKS).

The agreement was discussed during a meeting between the Chief Suyudi and PBNU Chairman KH Abdul Hakim Mahfudz, also known as Gus Kikin, and his staff at the PBNU office. The meeting is part of an effort to continue the collaboration between the police and NU, which has been ongoing at the regional level.

Suyudi stated that the police and NU share the same goal of building a safe community life. He believes that support from religious leaders and community organizations is necessary to ensure security efforts reach a wider community.

"We also appreciate and thank the Chairman and the NU leadership, because, frankly, we have received significant assistance and have always been working collaboratively in the field in carrying out our duties in providing services to the community," said Suyudi.

The INP Chief considers youth development a crucial priority amidst rapid technological developments and social dynamics. He believes that children and adolescents need guidance to be able to face various problems appropriately and avoid falling into illegal activities.

"We have a significant responsibility as our children are the nation's future generation, a national asset that we must protect and nurture. We must ensure that we do not make mistakes in educating our children," said Suyudi.

He added that through this planned collaboration, the police and NU will coordinate programs that can be implemented jointly within the community. These activities are expected to strengthen education, services, and mentoring, especially for the younger generation.

The General Chairman of the PBNU, KH Abdul Hakim Mahfudz, welcomed the meeting. He stated that order is an important part of community life and aligns with NU's efforts to serve the community.

Gus Kikin also emphasized the importance of the involvement of religious leaders in facing changing times, particularly in developing the nation's next generation. He hopes that the collaboration between PBNU and INP can help create a safer and more harmonious community.

PBNU and the Indonesian National Police will then formulate a form of cooperation that can be implemented together. Through this cooperation, both parties hope that efforts to maintain public order and security while developing the younger generation can be more focused and beneficial for the community.
