Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Head of Indonesian National Police (INP) Public Relations Division, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho booked seven of his members to Mecca for pilgrimage.
He explains the gesture as a gift for his seven personnel. He further explained that the gift is also part of the Isra Mi’raj Commemoration and to welcome the Holy Month of Ramadan.
“I hope you would have a safe travel, and also return safely without any struggles, and I pray your pilgrimage would be blessed by Allah,” said the PR Chief on Wednesday (3/6/2024).
The gift, according to the PR Chief, is also part of his duty in treating his members well. He hoped that this gift would motivate them further in carrying out their duties as police officers and continue to push themselves for the better.
Representative of members who got the gift, First Police Brigadier Panji Anugerah, expressed his gratitude for the gift. He said that he can only repaid his chief for the gift with good prays.
“I pray my general and his family would always be blessed with comfort and health. Given more wealth, and blessed with smooth career,” prayed Panji.
Other member, Second Police Brigadier Zahra admits that she was shocked when she was told that she would go to Mecca for pilgrimage. She hopes that his Chief and his family would be repaid ten times fold for the kind gesture.
It was reported that it is not the first time General Sandi booked his members for pilgrimage. Previously, there are two groups of members that he booked for Mecca. Other than police members, Sandi also booked his journalist colleague and their family for pilgrimage.
