Indonesian National Police (INP) PR Division and Online Journalists Association (IWO) met as INP PR Chief Inspector General Sandi Nugroho and IWO Chairman Yudhistira shook hands in welcoming the meeting. Sandi states that the collaboration with IWO has become important amidst the challenging duties faced by INP in 2024 General Election. “I thank you for your audience and support to the INP PR Division and INP in general for providing an objective information to the public,” says Sandi on Tuesday (12/12/2023). According to Sandi, the continuous collaboration will be carried out to improve public digital literacy, while also massively provide contents that could calm the people during the high tension of election period. Moreover, looking back to 2019, Sandi aims to push more efforts in preventing several concerning issues, one of which are journalist abuse. Sandi hopes that from INP-IWO gathering, it would further strengthen communication, coordination, and collaboration in preserving public security and order both in real life and in digital space. Meanwhile, IWO Chairman also revealed IWO has long committed to maintain state stability since its founding 12 years ago. “Ahead 2024 General Election, IWO has long committed and tried to collaborate with stakeholders, such as INP in general and PR Division specifically, to jointly maintain state stability,” says Yudhistira.
