Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia National Police (INP)’s Criminal Investigation Agency searched the offices and warehouses of palm oil exporter PT MMS on Friday (29/5/2026) as part of an investigation into alleged under-invoicing.
“Investigators suspect manipulation of export data to reduce declared values, potentially causing state losses,” said Senior Superintendent. Dr. Setyo K. Heriyatno, theHead of Sub-Directorate 1 of the Certain Crime Directorate at the Criminal Investigation Agency.
Investigators seized company documents, invoices, export declarations, and computer equipment during raids in North Jakarta and Tangerang, Banten. The evidence is being examined to determine the extent of the alleged fraud.
Authorities believe the practice of under-invoicing crude palm oil exports undermines Indonesia’s trade governance and deprives the state of revenue. Investigators are tracing individuals responsible and pledged to ensure professional enforcement.
Palm oil is one of Indonesia’s most important export commodities, making transparency in trade reporting critical to economic stability and international credibility.
