Indonesian National Police Public Relation Division Chief, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho welcomes the audience of Serikat Media Siber Indonesia (SMSI), on Wednesday (10/25/2023). The meeting between the two was meant to strengthen the relationship between Indonesian National Police (INP) with media in to realize stronger effort in maintaining safe situations. He admits that media plays a major role, moreover in this current political year. It is hoped that from the meeting, the collaboration between INP and SMSI is getting stronger in face of 2024 elections. “With how big the elections next year, state unity is our main priority to protect,” says Sandi in his opening remarks on Wednesday (10/25/2023). The representatives of SMSI, Nasir, stressed that in political year, positive news must be intensively spread to realize true democracy. According to him, INP is indeed the spearhead of the state in maintaining public order. For that, collaboration between INP and media is required to guarantee safe elections. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
