inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The success of securing the traffic flow of the 2025 Eid homecoming has received appreciation from Member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Rudianto Lallo. He assessed that the hard work of the police together with the military, the Ministry of Transportation, and other stakeholders succeeded in creating a smooth, safe, and controlled homecoming.
"This year the homecoming flow is running very smoothly. Unlike previous years which were full of traffic jams and incidents. There is a significant increase that we should appreciate," said Rudianto in Jakarta, Saturday (4/12/2025).
According to him, this success cannot be separated from the various strategic policies and programs implemented by the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps. Among them are the implementation of traffic engineering schemes such as contraflow, local and national one-way, and the provision of alternative routes at points prone to congestion.
Traffic Corps data shows a decrease in the number of accidents by 30 percent compared to the previous year. This is one of the main indicators of the success of the 2025 homecoming management.
In addition to traffic engineering, the smoothness of the homecoming is also influenced by government policies that provide a longer holiday period. This helps to reduce vehicle congestion at the same time.
"Free homecoming programs from the government and private sector are also effective in reducing the number of private vehicles that crowd the main route," added Rudianto.
INP also relies on sophisticated technology to support field operations, such as monitoring via CCTV, the use of body cams, vehicle GPS navigation systems, and digital-based traffic safety management platforms.
