inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Vice of Indonesian National Police (INP), Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo emphasized the commitment of the police force in strengthening the continuous cooperation with the United Nations (UN) in the conflict zone.
This commitment was conveyed during a meeting with a delegation from the UN Police Division led by UN Police Adviser Faisal Shahkar, accompanied by Hai Nguyen and Mehmet Ata Yenigun, held in the Banquet Room at INP Headquarters in Jakarta.
Faisal Shahkar expressed his appreciation for the INP's contribution.
"We thank INP for the support they have provided. We will continue to develop and strengthen this collaboration to enhance our shared contribution to world peacekeeping missions," he said.
He also stated that based on observations during various missions, INP personnel demonstrated professionalism, discipline, and strong adaptability in meeting UN operational standards.
He stated that the visit of the UN delegation was a concrete demonstration of the continuity of the strong relationship. This third visit, now in its third year, strongly demonstrates the close and sustainable strategic partnership between INP and the UN, while also reaffirming our shared commitment to supporting the maintenance of world peace.
INP's cooperation with the UN Department of Peace Operations has been continuously strengthened since the signing of the Cooperation Action Points on June 26, 2024, in New York, as part of the implementation of Indonesia's constitutional mandate to maintain international order.
As part of this capacity building effort, INP is currently holding the Annual FPU Commanders Workshop (April 20–24, 2026) and will hold the Annual Commanders Strategic Course in July, as a systematic effort to enhance the professionalism and readiness of personnel for international missions.
