Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, announced on Monday (11/4/2024) a crackdown on assets tied to online gambling networks, aiming to seize them for the state.
"We’ll dismantle each network. If assets are within the country, we’ll seize them; if abroad, we’ll leverage international cooperation," he said, following a meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs.
Leading the new Desk for Online Gambling Eradication, established by Minister Budi Gunawan, Chief Sigit will work with key agencies, including the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK), to trace payment channels, freeze funds, and disable transaction platforms.
Minister Budi Gunawan praised the INP’s action, saying, “The Online Gambling Desk is operating at full speed, and we should commend the Chief and his team.”
