Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian National Police (INP) have uncovered an international human trafficking ring that exploited victims under the guise of crypto admin job offers in Myanmar.

The case was handled by the Women, Children, and Human Trafficking Crime Unit (PPA-PPO) of the INP Criminal Investigation Agency).

"Victims were promised crypto admin jobs with salaries of 26,000 baht per month, but were instead trafficked and exploited," said Brigadier General Nurul Azizah, the Director of PPA-PPO, on Monday (14/7/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

The investigation began after the repatriation of Indonesian citizens from Myanmar in March 2025. One suspect, identified as HR, has been arrested, while another, identified IR, is now on a wanted list. The traffickers arranged passports, travel, and accommodation to Myawaddy, Myanmar.

Suspects face charges under Indonesia’s Anti-Human Trafficking Law and Migrant Worker Protection Law.
