Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang.  Central Java Regional Police have launched Operasi Patuh Candi 2025, targeting traffic violations with a focus on vehicles with unpaid annual taxes. The operation runs from 14 to 27 July 2025 across the province.

“Motorists whose vehicle taxes have expired will receive traffic fines,” said Central Java Police Director of Traffic Senior Superintendent Pratama Adhyasastra on Monday (14/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

He added that officers will also advise drivers to settle their tax obligations.

More than 2,400 officers are deployed in the operation, which includes enforcement against seven main violations: using a phone while driving, underage driving, not wearing helmets or seat belts, and ignoring road signs.

Police are also instructed to monitor accident-prone areas and apply law enforcement in a humanistic and preventive manner.

According to regional authorities, traffic violations in Central Java dropped by 25% in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
