Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. On Friday (2/5/2025), the Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Cyber Crime Directorate revealed a major online gambling case involving the H55 Hiwin platform, which used companies as “merchant aggregators” to process gambling transactions.

“The suspects operated an online gambling network by disguising companies as intermediaries for deposits and withdrawals,” said INP Head of Criminial Investigation Agency  Commissioner General Wahyu Widada, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Authorities identified PT Digital Maju Jaya and PT Cahaya Lentera Harmoni as key entities handling transactions linked to seven gambling sites. Four suspects were arrested, including a Chinese citizen alleged to have converted proceeds into cryptocurrency. Three others remain at large.

Police froze over Rp 14.6 billion (approx. USD 900,000) in assets and seized laptops, mobile phones, ATMs, and company documents.

The suspects face charges under Indonesia’s Electronic Information and Transactions Law, the Anti-Money Laundering Law, and the Criminal Code, with a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to Rp 10 billion.
