Thousands of police personnel are set be strategically deployed nationwide, responsible for maintaining security throughout the entire election process, including campaign periods, voting, vote counting, and related proceedings. The operation involves multiple task forces from the INP Headquarters, Regional Police, and the Police Task Force, and INP work units, including the Criminal Investigation Unit, INP Security Intelligence Agency and INP Security Maintenance Agency. General Sandi emphasized that effective cooperation between election organizers is crucial to ensure a smooth election process. The INP has assessed 11 potential conflict variables and corresponding strategies to mitigate risks during the election. It has also initiated efforts to engage national figures, religious leaders, and traditional leaders to promote a peaceful and harmonious election process, aiming to reduce political tensions.
