Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) advised the public in Jakarta on Sunday (22/3/2026) to adopt the government’s Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy to mitigate an expected surge in traffic during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr return flow, aiming for a staggered and safer migration back to urban centers.

"We encourage the community to utilize the WFA policy wisely so the return journey can be carried out gradually to prevent excessive congestion," said Brigadier General Tjahyono Saputro, the Head of the Operation Ketupat 2026 Public Relations Task Force, as reported by antaranews.com

Police personnel remain stationed at high-traffic locations to manage regional social gatherings and holiday events that often disrupt local road stability. Authorities are particularly focusing on water tourism sites, urging both visitors and operators to strictly adhere to transport capacity limits to prevent fatal accidents caused by overloading during the festive peak.

As the nation celebrates Eid, the task force continues to monitor major arteries connecting West and Central Java.
