Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps confirmed in Jakarta on Sunday (22/3/2026) that a national one-way traffic policy will be implemented to mitigate extreme congestion during the 2026 Eid return flow, which is predicted to peak on Tuesday.

"We will officially flag off the national one-way return flow on the 24th following coordination with the Ministry of Transportation and Jasa Marga," said Traffic Corps Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, as reported by antaranews.com.

The strategy includes a massive one-way stretch from kilometer 414 Kalikangkung in Semarang to kilometer 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. Ahead of the national rollout, police are already formulating localized one-way segments for March 22 and 23 to manage early surges. Authorities highlighted that the government’s Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy remains a vital tool for travelers to stagger their journeys through March 29. These integrated measures aim to distribute vehicle density across several days, ensuring a smoother and safer transition for millions of citizens returning to the capital.
