inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Vice Chief, Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo welcomes the visit of Sultan Agung Islamic University (Unissula) Rector and his entourage.

In the visit, Dedi received an appreciation from the guest due to his commitment in accelerating reformation and transformation of INP. 

The Faculty of Law of Unissula presented the Visionary Leader of National Security award to the Vice Chief of INP, presented directly by Unissula Rector, Prof. Gunarto.

The award was given as academic recognition of Dedi's visionary leadership in driving institutional reform of INP through strengthening the quality of human resources, transforming police education, developing scientific policing, and building strategic collaborations between police institutions and universities as a foundation for strengthening the national security system.

Gunarto stated that the award was born from an academic assessment of the direction of reform currently being pursued by INP.

“The Law Faculty of Unissula granted The Visionary Leader of National Security Award to Sir Dedi as we saw he has successfully presented a new paradigm in building INP,” said Gunarto.

According to him, visionary leadership is not only capable of addressing today's challenges but also preparing the institution for future changes.

Under the coordination of the Vice Chief of INP for organizational development, the Police is currently implementing various strategic reform agendas.

This transformation is aimed at strengthening INP's capabilities in addressing contemporary security challenges, including handling cybercrime, protecting women and children, eradicating human trafficking, and improving the quality of police services based on science and technology.

Accepting the award, Dedi expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in him by the Unissula Faculty of Law. He stated that the award is an honor for all police personnel who remain committed to institutional transformation.

"The transformation of the police cannot be carried out alone. We need partnerships with universities so that every policy, education system, and law enforcement are increasingly based on research and science, and able to meet the needs of the community. Academic collaboration is a crucial part of building a police that is more professional, modern, and trusted by the public," said Dedi.
