inp.polri.go.id - Riau. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo inaugurated the second phase of 80 Merah Putih Presisi Bridges program within the Riau Regional Police jurisdiction on Wednesday (7/8/2026).
"And of course, we will continue to work in accordance with the President's directives to prioritize connectivity, especially the needs of communities in rural areas," said Sigit.
According to Sigit, the construction of these Merah Putih Presisi bridges is intended to facilitate the activities and mobility of school children and the community.
Therefore, Sigit said, it is hoped that this will stimulate economic growth for the welfare of the people in the region.
"Our children need bridges to make it easier for them to go to school, and also to facilitate facilities and economic routes. We hope this will help improve the welfare of all," said Sigit.
Furthermore, Sigit revealed that within the Riau Regional Police jurisdiction, there are currently 110 bridges that can be used by the entire community.
Meanwhile, Sigit stated that nationally, 807 Red and White Precision bridges have been built.
Furthermore, Sigit emphasized that the construction of these bridges aims to continue strengthening collaboration and synergy with all elements of society to build a better Indonesia in the future.
"And our hope is that our children can grow up to be good, great, and successful. Likewise, the people in villages and remote areas will also experience a better life with these bridges," Sigit explained.
